WHY JESUS WILL COMEBACK

In the gospel of luke chapter 1 verse 32 we see the announcement of the birth of Jesus and his destiny and the bible clearly states

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David

Now is important to notice that when Jesus was born Israel didn’t have a throne of David because there wasn’t a kingdom in Israel in fact they were under the romans who were ruling them with different governors ( pilate was one of them). In others words the prophecy of Gabriele didn’t yet come to pass but it will, one of the reasons why our Jewish brothers didn’t believe in Jesus as the Messiah is exactly because this prophecy didn’t come to fulfillment in that time. They ask why Jesus didn’t rule the earth and the knowledge of God didn’t cover the all earth like the water cover the sea ?  ( like Isaiah 11:9 prophecies the days of the Messiah will be). This is the main reason ( not the only but the main) why Jesus Christ our Lord & Messiah will comeback, the bible record that his mission will be split in two part by the prophet Isaiah :

Isa 52:13  Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

Isa 52:14  As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Isa 52:15  So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

As you can see the verse 13 speaks about Greatness of the Lord but the last two verses says what precede is greatness (the 14 speaks of his passion and 15 is the uprising among the gentiles), notice also that the verse 13 is written in the future tense but the last two are written in the past tense that by itself tell us that the same person who is spoken here will have two different moments one of suffering and one of Glory. In the chapter 53 of Isaiah we can see this two frame of the Mission of our Lord Jesus even more clearly from the verse 1 till 10 not only we see the mission but also the reason of the mission and the rest of the chapter talk of his second coming.

As we can see the bible tell us times & times again of the two mission of the Lord Jesus, Now let’s go back from where we started Why Jesus will come back? If the first mission were accomplished we need to believe that the second mission will be fulfilled to where Jesus will rule the Earth the nature will be restored to his original state when God created the heaven and the earth and Revelation tell us that it will be a period of one thousand years, Here a verse that speaks of his coming from the birth in Bethlehem until his kingdom is established on heart Micah 5:2

And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you being least among the thousands of Judah, out of you He shall come forth to Me, to become Ruler in Israel, He whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity. 3  Therefore He will give them over until the time the one giving birth has given birth; then the rest of His brothers shall return to the sons of Israel. 4  And He shall stand and feed in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah His God. And they shall sit, for now He shall be great to the ends of the earth.

. Let’s see what himself has said about is second coming : Mat 24:30

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Or Rev 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
