God Is A Real Person, And He Really Loves You

God is severely limited in the lives of some people because they do not recognize God as being a Person. They see him as some cosmic entity that has little care for them, and has no interest in those things going on in their lives. They fail to see the loving God that He really is. Even some Christians have difficulty walking by faith because they have a similar view. They just cannot wrap their minds around a loving Father who really does love them. A true walk of faith requires intimacy with God, and a false view of Him will vastly affect the ability to live by faith. God is not some cosmic entity that has no love, much less compassion on hurting people. God is a real Person, and He really does love you!

Hebrews 1:1-3 says, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high”(KJV).

All through Scripture, we find that God had revealed Himself in many different ways, to many different people, and spoke to us by His prophets. Finally, He revealed Himself to us through the Person of Jesus Christ, Who is the “Express image of His person.” The word, “express image” means the exact copy or representation. In relation to the Father, Jesus is the exact image of His very essence. Whatever the Divine Essence is, Jesus is the exact expression of it. Interestingly, the word “person” is rendered as “substance” in Hebrews 11:1, as in “Faith is the substance of things hoped for . . .” It is what really exists under the appearance, or it is the true reality, or essential nature. Therefore, Jesus is the exact expression of God’s essence or being. Jesus Himself said, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:9, KJV). This same Jesus Who walked on the earth as a man and manifested the Father, is also the One Who died for our sins; not His. He died and resurrected that we might have eternal life, and have fellowship with the Father. Question: is a father a person? If God is our Father, then He is a real person.

Consider this: “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father (Romans 8:15,KJV). Again it says in Galatians 4:5-7, “To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. The word, “Abba” means, “Daddy.” While “Father is a title of respect, “Daddy” is a term of endearment. What does that mean to us? It means that God the Father desires to have an intimate relationship with us, unlike any relationship, we may have had with our earthly fathers (good, bad, or indifferent). One, who is a true daddy, is very interested in the affairs of his children. God the Father knows everything there is to know about us. In spite ourselves; He still desires to have that relationship with us because He really does love us. How many earthly fathers who love their children, would sacrifice their child for another? It is one thing to sacrifice our self, but to sacrifice a son is incomprehensible. Not only did Jesus suffer, the Father suffered the pain and agony of seeing His Son sacrificed for sinful man.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15 KJV). Not only did God create us, He lived among us through Jesus Christ, and lives in us through the Holy Spirit. God is intimately aware of every aspect of our lives, and wants to interact with us as well. If He were some mere cosmic entity, we would still be lost and without hope. Perhaps you don’t know God, but you want to know Him. Realize this, He wants you to know Him; otherwise, that desire would not be there. Perhaps you are one who has been distant, but desire to be close to Him. He desires to be close to you; otherwise, you would not have the desire either. The Bible plainly states that it is God Who draws man to Himself. Perhaps, it is time to allow the Father to love you, and experience Him as your Daddy. Ask Him to come into your heart, and watch what happens!
